Burns Cottage & Museum Burns Cottage - Master Thatcher at work -
April and early May, weather permitting Jeremy Cox, master thatcher,
will be demonstrating his centuries-old art as he re-thatches Burns
Cottage in Alloway the birthplace of Robert Burns. Calum Colvin, one
of Scotland's foremost contemporary artists will be installing a new
three-dimensional portrait of Robert Burns in Burns Cottage Museum first
seen as part of a series of portraits of Scotland's great writers by
Canongate Books.
